Well, at http://cyberpowerinc.com/home.htm there are some very good AMD
systems you can customize. They have a base one starting at $429 that has
an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ chip (1.5 GHz but since the architecture is better
than that of Intel chips it's at least as fast as a 1.8 GHz Pentium) and
256 MB DDR RAM and a 60 GB hard drive. Oh, and it's new. Dell and all those
other places have way too much markup.
